Move Dance 2024 Round Up | Move Dancewear

By Saskia Longley on 23rd Dec 2024

Well what a year, 2024 has been a good one and it's safe to say we have been busy. From new innovative collections to collaborating with principal dancers and celebrating our amazing dance community. We love making dancewear that makes you feel empowered and confident and we couldn't do it without your support! Keep reading to find out what we have been up to this year.

Move It

We went to Move It for the very first time and it was amazing. We were so overwhelmed with the amount of dancers that came to say hello. From buying new dancewear to joining in on our Titkoks we loved meeting our dance community in real life. You absolutely loved our limited edition Move Dance Tumblers; they practically flew off the shelves. Not forgetting a few other highlights like the Move Dance ballet class hosted by the one and only Bethany Kingsley Garner and our Move Dance Midnight collection being modelled by the amazing D&B Performing Arts College on the Rhythm Runway. We had the best time and hopefully there are many more in real life events to come.

Move Dance class

This year we have really focused on giving back to our community of amazing dancers and what better way to do that through hosting a dance class! The first one was a Jazz class taught by the fabulous MM Twins Jazz and our second most recent class was taught by our very own sassy Ecommerce Executive Holly Selby who trained at Addict Academy (we do love to keep it within the Move Dance family after all). So many of you came to dance with us and we will definitely be doing more classes in 2025 so make sure you don't miss out!

Pride shoot

For Pride month this year we wanted to do something extra special. We wanted to recognise and celebrate all dancers that are part of the LGBTQ+ community. It is so important to us to hear your stories and to give dancers a voice and sense of belonging. So we invited dancers to the Move Dance studio for a photoshoot to celebrate their individuality and hear their experiences. It was such an empowering and special day we absolutely loved it!

Extended sizes in Alegra

Here at Move Dance one of our main aims is to make dancewear that helps you feel empowered and confident. Which is why we made the decision to extend the size range in our Alegra items. Inclusivity is so important to us and at Move we recognise everyone is different and you don't need to be a certain shape or size to dance. You can now shop Alegra in sizes starting from XS - XXL.

Collaborating with Ashley Shaw

One of our main highlights of the year was collaborating with the fabulous Ashley Shaw, Principal of Matthew Bourne's New Adventures on her style edit from the new exciting Move Dance Fusion collection. We have wanted to work with Ashley for a while now so when we reached out and she said yes we were over the moon! We knew Ashley would love the collection as much as we did, her cool quirky style matched perfectly with the bold and vibrant colours and styles from the Fusion collection. She was so amazing and kind and a true inspiration to aspiring dancers.

Viral Dance Boot

We had to mention the sell out Danna Dance Boot! You guys went mad for this must have jazz shoe and they instantly sold out. Whe we did a restock in November and the boots sold out within a day! Keep your eye out as we are restocking the boots again in March, so make sure you have signed up to be notified on email when they are back in stock to get your hands on the hottest shoes of the year.

We just wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to our amazing community for all the support. Thank you for dancing with us at our Move Dance classes, coming to say hi at Move It and showing your love for our new collections (there has been a lot).

Don't worry it doesn't stop there...2025 we're ready for you!

Happy New Year Dancers.
